Terms of use

These terms cover your use of Origami. By creating an account and using the app, you agree to them. We have kept them plain.

What Origami is

Origami uses AI to capture events, reminders and tasks from information you send. Entries are saved in Origami with their source attached. A detail can be wrong. Origami does not replace your own judgment about anything important.

Your account

You need to be an adult to use Origami. Keep your sign-in details safe, since anyone with access to your account can see your information. Tell us if you think someone else has access to your account. Use accurate details when you sign up, so codes and reminders reach you.

Using Origami fairly

Please use Origami for your own planning and your household's. Do not use it to break the law, to send content you have no right to share, or to disrupt or probe the service. We may suspend an account that is being misused.

Getting details right

Origami can misread a date, miss a detail, or place something on the wrong day. Every entry shows its source, and you can correct or delete anything in a tap. Check the details that matter to you. We are not responsible for an entry you missed because an extraction was wrong.

Your content stays yours

The messages and files you send remain yours. You give us permission to process them only to provide Origami to you: capturing and updating entries and answering your questions. We explain exactly how in the Privacy page.

Membership and payment

Origami requires a monthly subscription. 7 days free, then $6.99 a month. Prices on this site are in US dollars. The App Store shows your local price before you subscribe.The offer shown at purchase is the one that applies to your subscription.

On iPhone, payment is taken through your Apple App Store account and renews automatically until you cancel. You manage or cancel the subscription in your App Store account settings, and you can restore an existing purchase from inside the app. Cancel any time; you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. To avoid a trial charge, cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends. Apple's standard license terms also apply to the app you download from the App Store.

Canceling and deleting

You can cancel your subscription any time, as above. You can delete your account, and the data we hold, from Settings inside the app. Deleting your account is permanent. Deleting the app or your Origami account does not cancel an App Store subscription; cancel it separately in your Apple account settings.

Availability

Origami is early software and we improve it often, so features may change and the service may occasionally be unavailable. We provide Origami as it is and as available, and we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or unforeseeable losses arising from your use of the app.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we will update this page and the date at the top, and make significant changes clear in the app. Continuing to use Origami after a change means you accept the updated terms.
